PANAMA. Any electricity distribution company that turns off public lights during night hours will have to face the National Authority of Public Services (ASEP). ASEP has started a massive plan to inspect more than 195,495 public lights in the country. According to ASEP, they will tour communities within the concessions area of electrical distributing companies to verify if street lights are on or off. Specialized personnel will inspect every street, avenue and alleyway in public use in the country. The plan will be executed in 2 phases that will end in July 2010.
