BUENOS AIRES. Diego Maradona, the coach of the Argentine national team, confirmed that Sebastian Prediger will make up part of his squad to confront Panama in an upcoming friendly match at the end of the month.

Maradona will be unable to count with the services of players from Boca Juniors and Estudiantes de La Plata, who are competing in the Copa Libertadores, and for this reason the coach has decided to give Colon de Santa Fe youngster a go.

The 22-year-old midfielder made his First Division debut on October 20, 2007, and has made 45 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.

"I can't believe it, I've dreamt about this since I was a kid. I'm delighted about this," said Prediger.

Coincidentally, Argentina will face Panama at Colon's stadium, and Prediger will be joined in the national squad by club-mates Diego Pozo and Alexis Ferrero.

Colon are currently contenders for the Argentine Clausura Championship, after an impressive beginning to the season.
