PANAMA. Followers of the Baha’i faith will mourn the martyrdom of “The Bab” this Thursday July 9 at the Baha’i temple in Las Cumbres, and all are welcome to join in the services and the speech that will follow by international Baha’i speaker, George Via.

July 9 marks the death of The Bab, who according to followers of the Baha’i faith inaugurated a new era and new divine cycle for humanity by publicly announcing that the age of prophethood had passed and that the age of spiritual maturity of humanity had begun. He is said to have foreseen the coming of Baha-u-llah, the founder of the Baha'i Faith.

There will be a devotional service in Spanish and English at noon in honor of The Bab, the forerunner of the Baha'i faith, whose martyrdom is observed by the Bahai’s worldwide. George Via, an international Baha'i lecturer, will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to join some of the 2,000 people of Baha’i faith in Panama, and attend the service and lecture in English at the temple, as well as enjoy the beauty and peace in the premises, the surrounding gardens, and the magnificent view of the city.
