The Ministry of Health (MINSA) decided to impose the fines following the recent increase in cases of classical and the more dangerous haemorragic dengue. So far this year, there have been 1,193 cases of dengue in the country, of which six were haemorragic, with two fatalities in Chiriqui and one in Panama.
PANAMA. The city garbage department (DIMAUD) want to paint its 57 distinctive yellow trucks blue and to swap workers’ yellow outfits for blue uniforms with reflective strips. The request to buy 1,800 workers new uniforms at a cost of $210,000 was made to the city council by Harmodio Montaner, director of the Garbage Department.
