PANAMA. Representatives of the different provinces of the Atlantic of Canada vowed that their companies and commercial organizations will participate in the mega project of the Panama Canal widening.
A mission of the International Development Business of Atlantic Canadian Agreement IBDA, came to Panama with to ensure that Canadian companies will form part of the link and supply chain for the widening of the canal project for the next five years.
The IBDA mission chief, Peter Giffin said that these sort of visits are the real mechanism to promote the growth and diversification of the commercial communities and to strengthen the bilateral links between the two nations.
The sectors that will benefit the most from this exchange are construction, maritime industry, environment, education and communications.
This was the second Canadian commercial mission that visitedPanama in the last two years, in addition to missions organized through the Canadian Embassy.
